From check-in to boarding, our high-tech inspection processes are designed to safeguard your journey while maintaining efficiency and comfort.
Here are some security tips:
- Security procedures before boarding the plane are for the safety of all travelling guests.
- To avoid missing your flight, follow security's instructions.
- Avoid wearing metal objects as much as possible, and if you do, take them off before passing through the inspection device and place them in the designated box and then through the security machine.
- The maximum number of mobile phones you may pack in your luggage is 15 (this excludes a personal mobile device). They must be in the manufacturer’s packaging, otherwise they may be confiscated. Lithium batteries in mobile phones pose a security risk to airport facilities and aircraft.
- Avoid carrying liquids in hand luggage unless necessary. The container should not exceed 100 millilitres, and a maximum of ten containers, equivalent to one litre, are permitted.
- Avoid putting prohibited items in hand luggage such as lighters, flammable containers, and toy weapons of all kinds, regardless of the purpose of their use.
- Help ease congestion around the airport by saying goodbye to family and friends at home.
- Do not leave your luggage unattended, or it may be confiscated in accordance with international laws and regulations.
- Do not carry baggage for people you don't know because you may be used as a transit bridge to smuggle prohibited or dangerous materials, which makes you legally accountable.
- If you have any medications that you need to carry, they must have a prescription or, if you have a metal medical device in your body, you must have a doctor's certificate.
During adverse weather conditions:
Follow the instructions and directions given by the security who are on the roads leading to and surrounding the airport. Arrive at the airport at least three hours before your flight to ensure a stress-free journey and avoid the need to rush.

Customs
All guests arriving at DWC must pass through customs. Certain items, particularly narcotics, may result in fines or imprisonment. If unsure, declare goods upon arrival. Visit the Dubai Customs website for updated requirements before travelling.

Tips for a hassle-free process
- Keep passport and boarding pass ready for inspection at checkpoints.
- Place liquid containers in a clear, resealable plastic bag, within your hand baggage. Remember the contents can't exceed 100 millilitres. Exemptions apply for medication, baby milk/foods, and special dietary requirements for use during the trip.
- Place loose items like mobile phones, wallets, watches and keys in a security tray.
- Belts with a metal buckle, boots, or shoes with heels, need to be removed and placed in a security tray.
- Laptops or iPads/tablets must be placed in a separate security tray.
- Place hand luggage onto the conveyor belt.
- Proceed through the walkthrough metal detectors or body scanners.
- Some guests may undergo an enhanced security screening process.
